163 Tiled Steps, 16th Ave, SF

Sponsored by The San Francisco Parks Trust, The 16th Avenue Tiled Steps Project.

The 16th Avenue Tiled Steps project has been a neighborhood effort to create a beautiful mosaic running up the risers of the 163 steps located at 16th and Moraga in San Francisco. Over 300 neighbors participated in its making.

This project began in January of 2003, with the support of the Golden Gate Heights Neighborhood Association. The San Francisco Parks Trust being their fiscal sponsor. The project completed in August of 2005.

It is open to the public.
